Zuri Marley makes her recording deubt on Blood Orange's New Album Freetown Sound

Today NYC-based musician Dev Hynes released, Freetown Sound, his third album as Blood Orange. Making her debut as a guest vocalist on the track "Love Ya" is none other than Zuri Marley. As a third generation Marley, Zuri is no stranger to the music business. But with this bold entrance into Dev's world of fluttery synths, soulful basslines, and sky-high falsettos, Zuri is clearly forging her own path outside of the reggae roots of her surname. Below, Zuri to shares a quick peek into the creative vibe of the project. ZURI MARLEY:"It’s crazy to have been able to lend my voice to this powerful record. "Freetown Sound" makes me want to dance, sing, write, run—it’s like a call action to live, take risks and feel. I’ve always been a genuine fan of Dev’s work and nothing has changed. He’s the shit and I’m happy we met in this lifetime."

Freetown Sound is out today. Purchase a physical copy of Free Sound, or a digital copy on iTunes.
